Instructions for preparing Chaga tea infusions

Chaga can easily be brewed in a saucepan. Two teaspoons to 300ml or 1 tablespoon to 1000ml of water. (You can also use a higher dose of chaga) Bring the granules and water to the boil for at least 30 minutes. In the best case, however, we boil our Chaga tea for 60 minutes. If you take your time, you can also boil it for hours. This increases the ORAC value (the antioxidant capacity of the mushroom). Don’t worry, antioxidants and beta-glucan are not sensitive to heat. On the contrary, they only dissolve through the heat and contact with boiling water. When I have finished making my tea, I simply strain the brew and my Chaga tea drink is ready. I can also reuse the granules or the brew. Chaga has an antifungal and antibacterial effect. I can therefore prepare a larger quantity and pour it into a carafe or keep it refrigerated in a sealed bottle for a longer period of time. You can find out more about our extracts here.
